Christmas Eve...

Christmas Eve is usually a wonderful day of getting to spend the morning and afternoon at home.  For the last two years, we have let Addi open one of her (many) gifts on Christmas Eve so we did that again this year.  She was excited to open up a Minnie Mouse Bow Bingo game and we played that several times throughout the day as well as last-minute gift wrapping, baking, and just enjoying the day at home.  She was also excited to find that Holly, our elf who visits us during the Christmas season, had left her a note telling her what a good girl she had been and advising her to get in bed early that night so that Santa could visit.

We made sausage balls, buffalo chicken dip, and a carrot cake in preparation for Christmas Eve at the Vahle's that night.  As usual, Roy read the Christmas story and we enjoyed each other's company and opened lots of presents.  Back in October, we had taken the grandkid's pictures in my backyard so we had those framed for Ruth and Roy since they needed updated pictures of all the kids!  Craig also made his mom and his two sisters window frames and we blew up pictures for them.  Everyone really loved them.
