June Wrap-up...

I have definitely let my blogging get way behind this summer so I am trying to cram a lot into a couple posts...  I got caught up on our little June "mini vacation," Father's Day, and VBS but I still have quite a few pics that I need to include for June so here goes!  These include a lake trip to Herrington where Lyndi decided to put on the skis after about a 5-year break just to make sure she could still do it!  She came right up with no problem.  I'm pretty sure that she was a little sore the next day though!  Craig skiied too but it hadn't been nearly as long since he had skiied!

VBS...

I was a teacher this year at VBS.  It went from Sunday to Wednesday from 6-9.  Personally, I thought that was a little late for little ones but it worked out just fine.  I taught the 3-year old class along with another mommy.  It was a great success!  I had Connor and Addison in my class and even though Connor wasn't quite 3, he was wonderful and actually one of the best in the class as far as cooperation and participation.  Katie had her softball tournament so she was only able to come to VBS one night.

It was very well planned with a bible story, songs with motions, snack, craft, inflatables, parachutes, etc..

It was a great (and exhausting) week!

Father's Day....

I am so blessed to have so many wonderful fathers in my life...  My dad, my husband, my father-in-law, and my grandfather (my other grandfather passed away in 2011).

My cousin, Shannon, gave us a great idea to make tye-dyed tee shirts as Father's Day gifts.  We loved the idea and the kids had a lot of fun making them!

June Vacation...

Craig and I both took a week off work in June just to have a week to do whatever we wanted to do as a family.  We wanted to just have a laid-back relaxing week and that is just what it was!  We spent Monday at home taking care of some things at home and headed out Tuesday morning for Bowling Green to spend time with family who lived there.  My cousin Shannon and her husband Paul have a great outdoor space and took us in and we had a great time--it was as good as being at any 5-star resort and we had wonderful family to talk to and hang out with.  We spent all day Tuesday just hanging out by the pool which was fabulous.  They grilled shrimp and chicken for us for dinner and we swam some more and then we made s'mores in their outdoor fireplace.

The next morning we got up and went to Beach Bend Amusement and Water Park.  We had never been and it was WONDERFUL!  It had quite a bit to do for kids but the best part of it was that there were NO LINES for ANYTHING!!!  We love Holiday World and the waterpark at Holiday World is better as far as things for the little kids but Holiday World is always very crowded.  Beach Bend had plenty to do for the kids and no lines so what could be better?!  The only down side to our visit to Beach Bend was that we picked the hottest day of summer on record so far this year.  It was 97 degrees that day so needless to say, we were SCORCHING!

This ride Moby cracked me up!  They were the only ones riding it but you could hear my cousin Shannon screaming from all over the park!!

Thank you to my wonderful cousins for hosting us!  We totally loved spending time with you all!
