Sunny Days….

We are loving this FABULOUS March weather!!!  I was off work on Friday so that I could take care of the kids since my mom had cataract surgery the day before (she is doing wonderful, by the way).  Thankfully it was a nice day and I was able to spend lots of time outside with the kids!

Friday night, we had a meet and greet in the Colonial Subdivision which was so much fun.  We met some great people and are excited to live in a subdivision with so many wonderful people that we have now met!
Saturday morning, Addi and I headed to City/County Park for an Easter egg hunt—only to find out that it had been cancelled.  She was so disappointed…  I told her that I would just take her to the park instead and that made her happy.  We had a GREAT time at the park.  That is such a wonderful thing that is COMPLETELY FREE that parents can do with their children.  We seriously had a blast.  She is such a fun little girl!

My precious BABY GIRL!!

Saturday night, we went over to the Cissell’s for a cookout and UK party—the CATS were playing the CARDS in the Final Four game and it was great to get together and watch it with all of our closest friends—Cissell’s, Mastin’s, Griffith’s, and Shannon’s.
After the game and our victory dancing, we went out to the back porch for a bonfire (no, we didn't torch any couches)--just marshmallows for s’mores.  The kids loved it!

It was a great night and we were all worn out and ready for bed!  GO CATS!!!

This n' that...

It seems all of my entries are just a hodge podge of several weeks combined!  It's just a way of life for me.  I'm lucky to EVER make time for this!

We've been gearing up for our big move.  We have to be out of our house on March 23rd--we found someone to rent it who is also planning to buy it within two years.  Our house isn't completely ready yet, so we are going to move in with Craig's parents for a few weeks until our house is ready.

So, my weekends and "free time" have been spent packing boxes.  Addi helps me--yep, she's a BIG help.  I usually give her an empty box and she loads it up with toys and dolls and then takes them all out and does it all again.  I'm just glad she has fun with it because I feel guilty that I'm having to spend so much time packing instead of playing with her.

Austin finished his play at LCT called "There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom."  He did a great job as usual.  I don't have any pictures of him in it because they wouldn't allow flash photography but it was very good.

Addison continues to amaze us with her vocabulary.  She can say her abc's as well as count to about 15!  She also knows every animal, can sing zippity-do-da, and fills in the blanks of almost every book we are reading.  I will say a couple words and then pause and she will fill in the blanks for me.  She is constantly using words that I had no idea she knew.  For example, I was cleaning out a drawer as I was packing and pulled out a rubberband--she said, "that's a rubberband."  I didn't teach her that!!  Then one day she threw one of her stuffed animals into her baby bed.  She was trying to pull it out between the bars of the crib but it was too big.  She looked at me and said, "Ruby (that's her stuffed dog) is trapped in there."  LOL--she's hilarious!

The weather has been all over the place lately:  tornadoes, snow, rain, and sunshine!  It's been crazy.  I do try to take a break from packing and let her play outside as much as I can.  It's great now that the time has changed and it stays dark so late!  I love it.

Here are some pictures of random things from the last few weeks...
