Fevers...

We've been battling fevers around here lately which is something we have been very lucky with in the past.  Addi normally doesn't have a fever even when she is sick but she had one for two days this past week.  It started on Tuesday evening and lasted until Thursday afternoon.  I took her to the doctor on Wednesday and they said that she just had a little virus and that it shouldn't last too long.  Dr. McKinney told me to continue giving her Tylenol or Motrin for the fever and it would always go down but then it would creep back up.  Thankfully, it didn't last too long and she is back to her smiley, bossy self!  She was kind of pitiful for a while though--always worse in the middle of the night (of course).  She loves popsicles but loves to drink the juice more than anything so I would squeeze the popsicles until they melted and then we would put a straw down in it so that she could suck the juice out--our redneck fever reducer--HA!

My sister took the kids to Boyd's Orchard the other day to pick strawberries and to play on their playground.  Here are a couple of cute pictures she sent me:

Lyndi and Randy went to New York recently to celebrate their 6th wedding anniversary and brought these t-shirts back to the kids.  So adorable!

Other than the occassional bossiness and whininess, I just wish I could keep her at this age FOREVER.  She says the cutest things and for the most part, she is pretty sweet!  She is so encouraging!  She is all the time saying stuff like, "good job Mommy" or "yay for you."  It's so so precious.

On the other hand, she has become quite the little tattle-tail!  She came home the other day and said, "Connor's a tattle-tail."  That's just so funny--especially since Connor doesn't really talk yet!!!  :)  She is always saying, "Connor bites every time" or "Connor pinches every time."  A lot of things she says ends with "every time."  We constantly laugh at her and are amazed at the sentences she puts together!  The child can communicate!

Chorus Concert...

Austin had his last chorus concert of the school year and it was wonderful.  We took Addi--not knowing if she would sit still through it or not--but she did great and loved it.  The kids were so entertaining so it totally kept her attention.

Here is a picture of her clapping after one of the performances and another of the two of them together after the show.

I am so blessed with such beautiful kids!

Louisville Zoo...

We had a great family day on Saturday at the Louisville Zoo—the weather was PERFECT—so we decided it was a great day to take Addi to the zoo for the first time.  She was great and loved it!
I’ll let the pictures tell the story but all four of us had a great day.  Addi even petted a snake (CRAZY GIRL). Okay, calling her a crazy girl reminded me about something (off the wall) that I want to add so that I don’t forget.  Anytime Addi does something that is funny or silly, I will ask her, “why did you do that?”  She will normally respond with, “because I’m a silly ole’ girl.”  She cracks me up!
Okay, back to the zoo, she rode the carousel and she and I got tickets to the 3-D theatre to see Dora and Boots on a great adventure!  We spent lots of time on their great playground and learned that they have a great little water park area that we will have to check out next time we go!
After we had spent all day at the zoo, we went by to see Grandma Pogue and then Memaw and Papaw Smith so we had a very fun-filled and exciting day.
Needless to say, since she had not had a nap, we also had a peaceful ride home as she and Austin both slept most of the way!
It was the PERFECT day!

GROSS!!!!!
